Today I had a great day with two good friends in
Lucketts VA. It is such a small little place with a cluster of the
cutest little antique/boutiques ever! Although I ended up buying nothing, I loved looking at all the unusual things.

This is a gigantic scrap metal rooster. Perfect for the yard!!!!

Here is a gal that might have seen better days!!

A dream, a cluster of old shutters.
Although most everything was very over priced, I had a great time enjoying friends company.
Talk to you soon!

those shutters are to die for! my dream would be to run into that pile of shutters in a family barn and have them say "i don't want them. take as many as you want". oh to dream!
Oh, I would be in heaven. I love looking a odd things. What a great day with friends...ahhhh
Your art is very sweet! Just found your blog via sweet mess.
I would love to find the time to go into those shops. I used to live in Lovettsville, VA, just a few miles from those shops -- which were "new" about the time I moved away. They look like such fun. Now I only get to drive right past them when I go to visit my in-laws.
The colors of those shops are very inspirational, as are the bits and pieces that are outside.
My favorite thing in that area is the polka-dotted silo.
Glad you had fun. Wish I could find some buddies that like to dig through old stuff.
