I was in Barnes and Nobles the other day, and this book caught my eye.
I love maps and this cover was so interesting. To find a book of interesting artwork out
of maps.... not literally but you understand. I might have to add this to my wish list.

Well, I hope you had a great holiday!

I did.... although it has flown by .

My weekly check in.....

I am feeling like this cow just grazing on the grass as the world

goes by!

I can not believe that it is mid December.... I really need to

to get moving!

During my Christmas break , I am going to do a

collage featuring this picture.

Here is a collage in progress. I will give you a hint...

there will be fish on the bottom and a tree on the top.

Big surprise , right!

Here is a large piece featuring my little guys. This might be in my

etsy shop soon. I am still thinking about what to do with it.

Basketball is in full swing. The lighting in the gym's are not great

so my pictures come out a bit fuzzy. I need to work

on this. Any tips??

Here is something on my wish list. I love my Trout! This is the

2nd book by James Prosek.

Not yet!

It was a Saturday afternoon,

we had just finished a day of morning basketball games

and a birthday party at the batting cages.

I leaned in to hug my son

and

there it was.

The smell of a young boy!!!!

The stinky smell of a young sweaty boy!!!

This can not be!

Time has played a cruel trick on me.

He is only 10!

My husband was quick to remind me that things will start to change.

First the smell..... then the voice..... then everything.

My little birds are starting to fly!!

Oh my gosh!

Has it really been over a week?!!!

I can not even believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone.

My favorite holiday.

I have to get in gear , because not only is this the month

of Christmas, but my youngest turns 8 this weekend!

His Birthday always brings the first snow.

I looked ahead and sure enough,

Snow predicted for Sunday!

We will see how it turns out.

A Fall morning....

A Sunday with no plans is bliss!

It has not been often, that we have had nowhere to be .

So, I seized the opportunity to have a family outing.

There is a historical farm with a lovely hiking trail minutes from

my house.

I love this color green!

I love when the trees have that deep black against the greens and yellow.

Shop overhaul....

Well, I just added a bunch to my etsy shop.

I am doing the Gallery walk at my

brothers office just off of 2nd st.

Make a left onto 2nd and it

is the first building.

New things.....

I have so much to tell you.

1. I am working on some little collage birds for Christmas

ornament. Below are just a few.... they still need their feet

and hangers , so use your imagination.

2.I made them all from recycled materials! I am also teaching a studio class on

how to make these , in December .

3. I really wanted to get back to my roots ( see the connection !! Ha Ha ! ),

and do more dimensional work. I love these roots !

4. This is a work in progress. I have another big tree piece as well.

Pics on this later.

5.I have an upcoming art event on November 6th. My little city is having their 1st gallery walk , and I am going to have some original pieces and some photography to share.

6. I am also doing a workshop with the woman to woman center. It is a great

mentoring program for young women wanting to make a

positive difference in their life.
