Oh the leprechauns came to our house today in their usual fashion. They totally messed up my kitchen and they had the nerve to turn the muffins I made last night ...... green!!!!
My kids set up their traps and put their best treasure under them to lure the little guys ..... we put flour on the table to see if we could see their little footsteps. They were so excited .... who would have thought. Well when I woke them this morning, they hopped right out of bed and scurried downstairs. The were amazed by the mess in the kitchen and the green muffins put them over the edge. They slowly lifted their traps ..... and found no leprechaun , just a bag of skittles ( candy of choice ) and a 1 dollar bill. They were satisfied and I pointed out the little chew holes in the back of the box .... that must have been the point of escape . I think the footsteps in the flour really sealed the deal.

Wow! You really are a fun mom! My kids only got Lucky Charms (which I never purchase) as a surprise this morn. But they were thrilled. Good on you CP!
Those little buggers left candy in the kids shoes but our muffins were'nt green...bummer.
