New work....

Well, I decided to go back to my roots and work on some more little house collages. I am still working on this one . I should have it finished by tomorrow to post. This is much bigger than I am used to 16 x 24. My problem is that I love each piece and it makes it super hard to let them go. I guess selling my work is prepping me for the day my boys go off to college...... yikes!

I have been super focused on getting this piece finished however I still made time to construct a funky lego house with my little guy. Legos are taking over the world ( or at least my house! ).

1. I am a mother of two of the most beutiful , sweet little boys you have ever seen.

He is wonderful , I can not say enough. I just got his " you can tell Georgia " CD and it is great! I like this one better than " Four Seasons ". I found out about him from ..... Greys Anatomy. His song was featured in the first season. His song is now featured in a car commercial...... I think Hyundi " just can't seem to get it right today " . My little one and I sing along in the car. He loves Joe Purdy too!

Where does the road lead us............

This is a new collage that I just listed on etsy. I have always loved trees and I especially love them when they have no leaves. I was inspired by a road near my home that had a line of trees just like the above. I started thinking about the road , the journey we are making in life. The fear sometimes of what lies ahead juxtaposed with the excitement of a new beginning at every turn. We are all walking on our path...... we can choose to run to quickly get where we are going... but we can also choose to walk and take in all that is around . In the end I guess we can say, We all have the same path..... but it is up to us to make sure we do not get lost. For those that are lost , there is always a way home..............

New items......

I have been trying out some new ideas. I love doing bookmarks and so I was toying with either magnets or key chains. I love these little guys. They can be funky and quirky and you can collect as many as you want without worrying about wall space and color scheme. They are fun to make and are a nice break from doing canvas work.

I should have some posted on my etsy site by the end of the week. If you are local , I will have them at "The Muse" downtown.

In addition to these I am working on a few 3D items. I can not promise when I will have any to show, maybe next week.

I have been published!!!!!

Hooray!!!This is my article with my dress in the new issue of Altered Couture. It has not officially come out , I received an advanced copy today in the mail. I was so excited , and love the way the dress looks in the magazine. There are so many beautiful items and I feel so honored to be among them!!!

My husband was so funny, he was showing everyone the magazine..... My kids said " Hey that's mommies dress !!!" I am so thrilled and encourage all to take a chance and just do it...... put yourself out there and believe.

New work......

These are some of my stamp ladies. I love this sillouette and I have used it a few times before. This lady looks so stoic and confident . One has a magic skirt made of two trees in a field and the other carries the wind. Anyway , I will be posting these tomorrow in my etsy shop. Let me know what you think.
