Gone fishin!

I am off tomorrow for 2 weeks at the shore! I can not wait to dig into my new book "The Help" and relax. I packed a little art bag so if inspiration comes , I can work. I promise a ton of pictures when we return.

** I am happy to say that I even completed all of the kids back to school shopping so I will have no mayhem to return to!!! I can breathe a sigh of relief.

My $5 find.....

I just love my new chair. It was just $5 in in horrible shape. I sprayed it a vibrant blue and I am still not sure about the seat cushion material. This is an easy fix. I plan to go back again and get the partner chair. Maybe a green or yellow color?

Lots to tell.....

I have been busy working on a few projects here and there.



This is a large rectangular collage that I made just for me. I have Navy
walls in my bedroom, and for the last 3 years, I have had nothing above
my bed. We have a bunch of my kids art as well as vintage pictures of boats.
I think this will fit in perfectly.

The first boat is my husband , than me , and the last two are my boys.

I also bought a shutter at my favorite tag sale .... I hung it over my kitchen window as a valance. I will show you pictures once I get fabric for the curtains. I also bought a great wooden chair for $ 5! Really! I have painted it a bright blue and will put a colorful fabric on the seat. I will have pictures of that very soon also.

Tag sale happy!!!!

This photo courtesy of the Chartreuse and co. website. I am so excited to go and get one of these boxes. It is perfect because my kids have baseball camp just down the road and I can be 1st in line at 9:00 sharp. O.k. I was going to lay off the numbers a bit, but this is very practical!

See , I have been busy!!

Here is a few new pieces..... I did not mean to show you the backside of my assemblage 1st.... we just got a new computer and I am not quite as together with my pictures yet!

O.K. , so there are a few..... and I already have a slew ( is that a word?) of ideas in the works. So I will have more pics soon.

On another note..... I finished my book ( Water for Elephants). Loved , loved , loved it. I miss it actually. Oh.... go see" Despicable me". I just thought it was the cutest, sweetest, funny ( in a boy humor kinda way ) movie. I laughed , cried ( yes really ) and felt warm and fuzzy. It has a dark edge to it but it really is great.

The big 4...0!

I did not really think about it until it came and went. It is like I suddenly feel like I

should grow up, have answers, look like I have it together.

I liked my thirties.... young enough to make mistakes and learn. I could still fumble around ,

figure stuff out. I am putting too much pressure on this.

Trust me.... I intend to make a ton of mistakes and hopefully I will learn from them.

Fumbling.... well it could be just part of my personality.... and as for figuring stuff out,

well , maybe that happens in your eighties.

After all , 4 is an even number. I like my even numbers.
