My art is for the birds......

Here is another little bird. I am working on 2 more and should have them all in my etsy shop by tomorrow afternoon. I think my bird obsession is my need for the spring weather to be here and hopefully my energy to pick up. I feel like my feet have been dragging all winter!



Anyway, I am going to start working on a few really big pieces ...... I have had the canvas's for a while..... I just need to become more comfortable with them. I think if you live around something enough, the novelty or fear or whatever the issue is , just goes away.




Face your fears, be comfortable with the uncomfortable and believe in the idea of possibility.

I am flying on the tail feathers of the wind.....

I have sooo much on my plate right now ....... I have to focus and move, move , move. Every minute must be accounted for . I like deadlines.... but I am really , really , really cutting it close.

I just finished these birdies and now they can be packed up and headed down to Tallahassee. I can check something off of my list ........

Heres to the last winds of March to blow me through my long list ( I am adding a touch of caffeine for extra momentum) !

New collage...

I just added this to my etsy shop. I am not sure where it will end up. I tend to post things and if they do not sell , I ship them off to some shops . I actually thought about keeping this for myself. I really love the colors.

I love quilts and admire all that create them...... in my dreams I would be a quilter. In reality, well there are many things I seem to fall short on and patience and keeping a clean work station are on the list. I have an idea however...... I am going to do a paper quilt . I am going to do a traditional design , however I am going to use my vintage papers for a color choice. We will see how this goes. I start off with grand plans and a huge rush of excitement..... and if the project does not grab me right away ...... well ..... it might be in my dreams also.

My new favorite thing....

I love this soup. I am quite the connoisseur of soup and this has just the right amount of creaminess with just a hint of ginger . I love to add a dash of Old Bay ( my #1 favorite thing ).

Hot soup, new canvas, and tons of ideas...... this is looking to be a great day!

Fixed !

Well.... my computer has been very temperamental these days. I feared everyday that it was going to crash. Every place I went on line caused warning messages that it had become dangerously low in memory. We were clearing the memory every few minutes just to keep it operating. So what were we to do.......... we could not afford at this moment to get the Mac that we have dreamed about. So a cheese pizza, external hard drive and 2 tech. friends of my husbands later........ my computer works like a charm. I did not realize how slow it had gotten until now. Fingers crossed and perhaps it will give us a few more good years...... right?
