Here I am!

Mine is in the bottom right hand corner. I did this piece about 3 yrs ago and it was in the Sommerset Studio mag. in July 2007. I did not realize that this was going to be in the summer Handcrafted edition 2010, so I was quite surprised to receive my copy of the magazine.

The city of brotherly love......

We went to Philadelphia for a long weekend. We were there for a family reunion, however we squeezed in some sight seeing.

This was on the side of a church in an alley.

The next few pictures are from a stop in Anthropologie in downtown Philly. I was in more awe of the building than what was inside I must say.

I am not sure what the story is on this tree. It is an actual needlepoint sleeve around the tree. There was also one around a bike rack???? It was interesting.

New work....

I sent these to The Muse here in Frederick today. They are a bigger size , which can be exhausting to work on. I need some little projects to tackle.

My goal is to have the boys be good swimmers this summer..... this means a lot of pool time. My oldest one is on his way. However my youngest.... well, he still does not like getting the top of his head wet. Lessons start next week, I will keep you updated on the progress.

We went to see Toy Story 3 yesterday. It was just as good as the two before, and definitely pulled at your heart strings . My youngest son is very sensitive and has always had a hard time leaving me . He cried at the end of the movie , and cried really all night. He said it was because Andy had to say goodbye to his toys...... but he hugged me tight and said never leave me. It makes your heart ache ..... you really want your kids to always need you but really it is because we as parents really need them. It is hard to let them go , it is hard to let them make mistakes and learn from them. You want to be there to wipe there tears and hug them until they smile.

My little guy will take a bit longer to grow his wings and I assured him that there are many colleges close to home that he may attend. He smiled and so did I.

O.k. ..... I am a huge Diane Keaton fan and below you will notice she is fond of using letters and numbers in her home! See the huge #3! I love it. I do have to cut back.....

I just got my vintage drop leaf red wonderfully aged table that I have been drooling over. I love it ! I will show you a picture soon.

A fun day!

I went to my favorite one weekend a month spot...... the wonderful Chartreuse and co. tag sale.
I always walk away inspired and ready to create .


I love this little room area ..... and if you did not know already, Maryland is known for the crabs.

I bought this little drawer. It holds my napkins and salt shaker for the table.

My husband said I could not buy anymore numbers or letters, however I snuck a #2 in amongst these pictures. I can not help myself.

smelly smelly boys!!!!!

It was rainy, humid and summer time. So 6 or so boys ( mine included ) played kick ball in the very wet grass of my yard. When it rained hard enough..... where do you think they went. My basement of course ...... what did they do..... dance dance dance revolution. So let me paint the picture..... 6 smelly boys outside , come inside to continue sweaty smelly fun! My basement needs a few days, air freshener and open windows to recover. Me , I'm fine..... I know soon enough the smell , laughter and simple fun will be gone and I will miss it.

Summer is here !!!!!

Hoooray!!!! I am soooo happy that summer has started. We have our summer reads lined up ( actually I am still looking for mine.... any good books??). We have our suits ready, and we are all ready to relax and have as much fun as possible. We have said goodbye to baseball, at least competitively..... we will enjoy a game or two of wiffle ball, or go to the hometown ballpark to cheer on our team. No worries at all. I am really excited to get my etsy shop back in order. I have a bunch of prints to post and some other goodies also.

Hello !!!

The image has nothing to do with this post, however I thought it was neat. I feel like I should re-introduce myself. I am having a bit of an identity crisis and seem to be just trying to get through the day in one "sane" piece. I have begun my " to do" list as soon as school ends. It is growing by the minute and on the top..... finish the 3 large collages I have been working on for the last 3 weeks. I have prints just waiting to be put into my etsy shop and I need to find time to clean my work space. Every time I clean my space I get a surge of inspiration ....... looking for a lot of that these days. I hope your to do list is not as long as mine!!!
