It has been a long time......

I have been wrapped up in the tangled web of my life. Baseball will be done in a mere week or so and school is out in 3, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!



Anyway, I do have some news! I am in the above magazine. My blog banner is featured somewhere. They sent everyone else a copy who got in..... I am still waiting for mine to arrive!
I am also going to be featured in an upcoming magazine by the same publisher sometime in July. They are reprinting an article I did in " Altered Couture" a few years ago.


This bit of recognition should get my butt in gear to get moving on some art! My mind is ready , I just have to find time for my hands to get busy.

Time......

I just bought these beauties from this shop.

I am rather obsessed with watch faces. I am not sure if it is the number thing I have going on or the symbol of time that has passed. Time..... it is like our silent enemy. It ticks in the back of our minds ..... it is taking our every breathe. It is misused , overlooked , forgotten and at the same time embraced . Such a controversial subject. A simple word that has more power than most. My son asked me the other day " Mommy, if there is 100 pennies in 1 dollar .... why is there not 100 minutes in 1 hour??" I paused and I had nothing to say...... I too wonder why can there not be 100 minutes in an hour!!!

A lovely time....

The boys and I headed off to our favorite spot...... a tag sale! I love that they love flea markets as much as I do.

I left with yet another letter. It was a big silver metal N . I also found a great hand carved from dark wood . Although the hand was not vintage..... it was unique and I had to have it.

My son was sooo proud of his paper flower. He gave it to me early ( it was his mothers day present from school). He promised that he would make me an entire bouquet by Sunday.

What stinks????

None other than Stink himself! If you are not familiar with this character..... he is the subject of many adventures . He is also brother to Judy Moody. My kids love his books.


For our schools "star spangled celebration", the staff had to pick a book and decorate the bag for an auction. I chose "Stink and The Worlds Worst Super Stinky Sneakers".



I enjoyed doing it , so lets hope it gets lots of bids!
