Finding Inspiration
These are leaves that are all over the ground in Maryland. I find them beautiful, however they are here because of pesky bugs and sadly are killing the tree. There is something very twisted about it . They are surprisingly very strong despite the lacy holes. I am not sure what I will do with them, but after walking by them everyday, I needed to start collecting.
The above is a piece for my annual charity in partnership with the Muse ( Gallery / Shop ). The owner and I started this pairing of art with giving back 4 years ago. We have our art auction in October so I will keep you posted of the final results.
I am re entering the world so to speak, after hiding for so long. It is strange putting yourself out there. As many other artists , I like to keep to myself and be more the observer of life around me. Sometimes that is good and other times it puts you at a disadvantage. Baby steps ......

Creeeeeeek.......
I have opened the door
blown away the cobwebs and dust
and wonder if anyone is still there?
Anyone , oh anyone can you hear me?
It may take awhile to get everyone back.
That is ok, that is what you get for being away
for so long.
I have re opened my etsy shop , and have a lot
of things in the works to put on this blog.
Come back to see!

Ok.... so I am in TJ Max looking around and I notice these collage art pieces. They catch my eye
because they are so familiar to some that I had just finished in the fall. I look closer and gasp! Some one has stolen my art!!! So I thought. I picked one up and turned it over.... and there was my name.
It was mine for all the world to see. I just about cried. Of course I wanted to buy them , and
then realized, I already have the originals. It was just a little validation that I am in
the world!
**** I know I let everyone know of my son's condition in the last post. He is doing amazingly well and responding to treatment. He has gained almost 10lbs. and looks great!
Talk to you soon!

Hi! I think I forgot how to do this...... it feels like forever since I posted anything. I think at times there has been soooo much to say that the words just could not come. I should break it down so that I do not sound like I am rambling.
1. Art- I signed on with an agent and have been doing some licensing work . Between work for them
and work that I sell locally..... I have maxed out my art time.
2. Charity- I am set to kick off another year of " Lend a Hand" an artshow to benefit local charities. I
work with one of my favorite people Whitney Bingham who owns "The Muse "
3. Home- This is a tough one. It has been a real crazy ride these past few months. My oldest son
who is 12.5 has been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. You usually hear about this in adults and
not to be graphic..... you think of poop.
Crohns is an Inflammatory Bowel Disease ( not to be confused with Irritable Bowel Disease ) that
has no cure. It shows an ugly face with children. First they stop growing, then they loose weight...
become so tired they take naps during the day from anemia. Then you have the many tests to rule
out what it could be.... the chronic Diarrhea and stomach pain. Finally the colonoscopy and
endoscopy. The talk of malapsorption and malnutrition. A normal stomach bug might strike any
other child and they recover.... mine involves talks of feeding tubes and hospital admittance.
The treatment is a biologic meds that is given by infusion. We have great resources in Maryland
so we went with the best Johns Hopkins. It has become a familiar place and thank god they are
so knowledgeable and kind.
Now I hope for remission but take every day as it comes. It could always be worse so for this I
am fortunate. For my little guy that just seems to get so much put on his shoulders.... my heart
breaks a little. Character building some would say.... I say he has more character than most....
So here it is .... my plunge back into the blogging world.

Summer is in full swing and I am enjoying the relaxed pace ....... and knowing that Monday my
boys start 3 weeks of summer camp!!!!!
I was the featured artist for a little shop called The Muse in Frederick. For everyone who could not
get out to see it , I have provided a link so that you can see the pieces. They are a bit different for me,
but it was nice to have a change. Enjoy!
